Australian Heritage Long Bowie
Australian Heritage Long Bowie
Intended Use:
This knife is designed for lawful hunting, camping and bush use only. It is not intended for combat or unlawful activity. Buyers are responsible for complying with their local laws.
This is my take on a proper Australian Long Bowie.
I chose this pattern because a longer blade has its place. More reach. More cutting surface. Still practical, but with a bit more presence than the standard field knife.
The blade is 28cm of 1095 high carbon steel, built tough and made to hold a sharp working edge. It’s sharpened on one side with a strong spine, keeping it durable and reliable.
The handle is 14cm with a steel guard, giving solid hand protection and a comfortable grip. It feels balanced despite the longer blade.
It weighs 490g including the sheath, so it carries well without feeling heavy for its size.
Like the rest of my knives, this is a functional replica. It’s built to be used, not just displayed.
Every knife is 100% handmade. Every part of it is made by hand, not mass-produced by machine. Small variations are normal and part of what makes each piece unique.
It comes with a 100% genuine leather sheath to suit the blade properly.

Steel Care:
This knife is made from 1095 high carbon steel. That means it’s tough and holds a great edge, but like all high carbon steels, it needs basic maintenance. Keep it lightly oiled to prevent rust. After use — especially after hunting or being outdoors — wipe it down and give it a light spray of WD-40 or another quality oil. A quick wipe with an oiled rag every now and then will keep it in good condition.
Simple. Solid. Built properly.
Made for Australians.
