Early 1900s Australian Hunting Knife
Early 1900s Australian Hunting Knife
Every knife is 100% handmade. Every part of it is made by hand, not mass produced, not machine perfect. Variations in finish, lines, and shape are normal and part of the character of a genuine handmade knife. BTK knives are my designs, handmade to my specs and hand finished in Australia with a dull working polish, built for use.
Intended Use:
This knife is designed for lawful hunting, camping and bush use only. It is not intended for combat or unlawful activity. Buyers are responsible for complying with their local laws.
This is my take on an early 1900s Australian fighting knife.
I chose this pattern because it represents a simpler, straightforward style of blade. Practical design. No extras. Just a knife built with purpose.
The blade is 23cm of 1095 high carbon steel, strong and made to hold a proper working edge. It’s sharpened on one side with a solid spine, keeping it durable and usable.
The handle is 13cm with an aluminium guard, giving you hand protection while keeping the knife balanced and comfortable in the hand.
It weighs 480g including the sheath, so it’s lighter than some of the larger military patterns but still feels solid.
Like the rest of my knives, this is a functional replica. It’s built to be used, not just displayed.
It comes with a 100% genuine leather sheath to suit the blade properly.
NOTE: Sheath colour may differ from the picture depending on available dyes at the time of production.

Steel Care:
This knife is made from 1095 high carbon steel. That means it’s tough and holds a great edge, but like all high carbon steels, it needs basic maintenance. Keep it lightly oiled to prevent rust. After use — especially after hunting or being outdoors — wipe it down and give it a light spray of WD-40 or another quality oil. A quick wipe with an oiled rag every now and then will keep it in good condition.
This is a historic fighting pattern made as a working blade.
Simple. Solid. Built properly.
Made for Australians.
